Terms and conditions
1. Identity and Scope
These terms and conditions apply to bookings made with Christine Bucaille for tourist accommodation, the provision of premises for photo shoots, filming, meetings or events, and related services.
The Client declares that they are acting as a consumer or professional and that they have the necessary legal capacity and authorisations. In the case of an event or production, the signatory guarantees that all participants, guests, crew members and service providers engaged by them will comply with the contract.
2. Description and Capacity
The property is located at 35 rue Gambetta, 14450 Grandcamp-Maisy, France.
The property description, quotation and contract specify the accessible areas, schedules, maximum capacity, sleeping arrangements, facilities, parking arrangements, accessibility, permitted disturbances and restrictions. Any use not expressly provided for requires prior written approval.
3. Booking Confirmation
Submitting an online request does not constitute a confirmed booking. The booking is confirmed once the quotation or contract has been accepted, a deposit equal to 30% of the total amount has been paid, and written confirmation has been received from Christine Bucaille by email.
4. Prices and Payment
Prices are stated in euros, including all applicable taxes, with details of the services, taxes, cleaning fees, security deposit and optional extras. Payment must be made by bank transfer. Any late payment or failure to pay will have the consequences set out in the contract and under the rules applicable to the Client, whether acting as a consumer or professional.
5. Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required depending on the nature of the Client’s booking request.
6. Cancellation and Amendments
The applicable cancellation policy must clearly specify the amounts payable according to the date of cancellation. Cancellation must be made at least one month before the booking start date.
7. Right of Withdrawal
For accommodation services other than residential accommodation, and for certain leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal may be excluded by law. The applicable legal classification depends on the service being provided. The final clause must identify the specific statutory exception that applies; a generic waiver should not be used if the service does not fall within that exception.
8. Arrival, Departure and Inspection of the Property
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. Keys will be handed over, and the inventory and inspection of the property will be conducted on site with Christine Bucaille. Any delay must be reported. The property must be returned in the agreed condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.
9. Rules of Use
The following are prohibited without prior written approval: exceeding the maximum capacity, subletting, transferring the booking, holding an undeclared party, causing noise disturbances, smoking indoors, bringing animals onto the property, installing technical equipment, using drones, lighting fires, using special effects, attaching items to walls, moving heavy furniture, swimming outside the authorised conditions, filming in restricted areas, or using the property for any unlawful purpose.
The Client must respect the neighbourhood, safety instructions, agreed schedules, parking rules and all requirements imposed by the relevant authorities.
10. Events, Photo Shoots and Filming
The quotation must specify the number of participants, nature of the project, authorised areas and schedules, set-up and dismantling arrangements, electrical requirements, vehicles, security, catering, alcohol, music, drones, animals, special effects and service providers. Any material change requires the prior written approval of the property operator and may result in additional charges.
At their own expense, the Client must obtain all necessary administrative authorisations, licences, music rights, filming permits, image rights clearances and insurance coverage. Commercial use of images of the property, its name, its artwork or any protected features is permitted only within the written limits agreed in the contract.
11. Insurance and Liability
The Client must hold insurance appropriate to the intended use and, upon request, provide evidence of coverage, such as holiday rental liability insurance, professional liability insurance, event organiser’s insurance or production insurance. The Client is responsible for any damage caused by the Client or by any person or service provider under their responsibility, subject to applicable law.
12. Safety and Suspension of Activities
The property operator may suspend any activity involving a serious danger, unlawful use or major breach of safety rules, in accordance with the terms of the contract. Emergency procedures and useful contact numbers are provided in the welcome booklet.
13. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for a failure to perform caused by an event meeting the legal criteria for force majeure. The affected party must notify the other party without delay. The consequences regarding postponement, refunds or expenses already incurred are specified in the contract, in accordance with mandatory legal provisions.
14. Personal Data
The processing of personal data in connection with bookings is described in the Privacy Policy available on the website.
15. Complaints and Mediation
All complaints must be addressed to the designated service. For Clients acting as consumers, if a prior written complaint remains unresolved, the Client may refer the matter to a consumer mediator free of charge.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The contract is governed by French law. For consumers, mandatory rules regarding territorial jurisdiction remain applicable. For professionals only, a jurisdiction clause may be included provided that it complies with the applicable legal requirements: [competent court].
